I really appreciate seeing same Dr each time - continuity of care is excellent, I am known as a person.
I feel that my medical issues are being listened with care and attention.
Investigations clearly explained and advised very convincingly
Sufficient time was allocated to the consultation
Advised about the follow up
I had no stress or any undue pressure during the consultation
Thorough consideration of my condition and helpfull advice was given and explained.
Headsets for the receptionists may help them and make them more aware of how loudly they are talking, thus avoiding overhearing by patients waiting in the waiting area.
I arrived for the appointment checked in on touch screen, waited 30 minutes on 3/2/2015 4.50 pm for Dr Pradton, inquired of Dr Pradton was in the practice to find out that he was not, I was told that someone had recorded that they tried to phone to cancel the appointment but the phone was engaged.
Problems.
1. Reception staff could have phoned again, or written or emailed or tried to advice or cancellation.
2. Surgery staff did not rearrange their appointment.
3. Touch screen did not alert a problem.
4. Reception staff did not check to see if patient were waiting for appointment which could be kept.
Surgery admin could be improved.
Normally my doctor is Mrs Lowry today we were seen by Dr McCrae - what a lovely man - put us at ease very helpful - to the point and thorough without being pushy.
An excellent stand in for Dr Lowry who is an excellent doctor.
